I finally saw this over-hyped up movie (thank you, Christine). Maybe I actually expected it to be “mind-blowing” and it failed those expectations, but honestly, I can say that there was hardly any confusion. The plot, although fast-paced and thrilling, typical of action movies, was not exactly that intricate. Actually, Pirates of the Caribbean 3 was MUCH MORE intricate/confusing/that mind-blowing business people insist on these days. Nevertheless, it was a fun movie to watch indeed. Then again, I’m a sucker for action films. :P
Also, I maintain my position that The Black Swan will win the Oscar for Best Picture of 2010. And if it doesn’t, it certainly does in my opinion.*
*I don’t always agree with Academy Award winning movies. FF: Remember how we tried so hard to watch The English Patient, winner of NINE Oscars in 1996? I think we all fell asleep before hour two (three hour long movie). And then we popped in Donnie Darko or Requiem for a Dream and life was good again. :D
